With a bounce-back win against the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week, the Denver Nuggets look to begin a new winning streak against a battered Western Conference foe.
With OKC on a two-game game losing streak the Nuggets are primed to pick up another easy one here. However, the Nuggets continue to struggle with consistency leaving the Thunder to not be overlooked.
With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander out due to a knee injury, OKC is without their star player for the game. Add on the losses of Trevor Ariza, Theo Maledon, and Isiah Roby and it is not too hard to see how the home team could push this to another Clevland-style blowout.
That being said, the continued loss of Gary Harris and PJ Dozier, two of the Nuggets best backcourt defenders, the Nuggets are by no means back to full strength. However, the return of Facu Campazzo has given their backcourt a significant boost.

- Over is 6-2 in Thunder last 8 road games.
- Over is 6-1 in Nuggets last 7 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game.
- Over is 7-2 in Nuggets last 9 games following a straight-up win of more than 10 points.
- Thunder are 0-6 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Denver.
With this being the second time these teams have played, we should be in for a treat. The Thunder have had personnel change after personnel change in recent years leading to challenges with their consitency, not so different from the Nuggets. However, they have more talent than you would expect with Alexander at the helm. That being said Alexander is out and the team will turn to the experience of Al Horford as well as the explosiveness of new comer Lugentz Dort in today’s matchup. Dort gave the Nuggets a run for their money in January putting up 20 points on 50% 3pt and 72% total FG, which is nothing short of impressive. Fortunately for the Nuggets, their depth was able to overcome Dort’s stellar performance; boasting 4 starters and 7 total players in double digits for the home team.
If the Nuggets can repeat the recipe of spreading out the scoring and focusing on team ball they should handedly deal with this battered Thunder team. Make no mistake, however, the Thunder do have grit, taking the Lakers to overtime, not once, but twice just this week handing the Thunder their current 2 game loosing streak.
Either way it will be a great way to spend your Friday evening so get those bets locked in and we will see you there!
