The 2020 Masters Review and Odds

The long-awaited arrival of the 2020 Masters at Augusta is here after being postponed several months back in the Spring due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Traditionally played in April, the 2020 Masters will now commence in mid-November with the well-known vibrant Augusta course expected to be in a much different shape come tee-time this Thursday, the 12th.

Tiger Woods stunned the golf world in 2019 when he won the Masters for the 5th time in his career, making him only one short of Jack Nicklaus record 6 green jackets.

Denver Sports Betting is thrilled to take a look at golf’s most illustrious tournament, and the golfers to look at taking action on.

Early leaderboard odds per BetRivers Sportsbook.

  • Bryson DeChambeau +700
  • Dustin Johnson +800
  • Jon Rahm +1000
  • Justin Thomas +1200
  • Rory Mcllroy +1300
  • Xander Schauffele +1400
  • Brooks Koepka +1600
  • Tyrrell Hatton +2200
  • Patrick Cantlay +2500
  • Hideki Matsuyama +2500

Bryson DeChambeau is looks to be the front-running favorite for the Masters. Bryson, of course, the U.S. Open champion, has not actually finished within the top 25 in his last two Masters appearances. According to CBS Sports, DeCambeau’s inaccuracy off the tee box is a big concern he enters the 2020 Masters with a 52.68 driving accuracy percentage, which is 205th on the entire PGA Tour.

Coming off of a disappointing performance of the ZoZo Championship, Tiger Woods sits at +4000 odds to repeat his 2019 victory at Augusta, and he has yet to finish higher than 37th since the PGA restart.

Round 1 starts at 7:30 am ET this Thursday, (12th), and can be viewed on ESPN. Rounds 3-4 (Saturday and Sunday) will be covered live on CBS.
