There was a time when the Denver Broncos ruled the AFC West and the horses roamed free; however, since the arrival of Patrick Mahomes, the throne belongs to the Chiefs Kingdom.
The Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs are heading in two polar opposite directions as the Chiefs look to win their second consecutive title while Denver simply looks for a capable quarterback to suit up on Sunday.
Denver and Kansas City will clash during Week 13 on Sunday Night Football, and the betting world expects yet another dominant showing from Mahomes and Company.
Kansas City is fresh off a strong victory versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will look to continue winning down the stretch.
Mahomes was brilliant against Tampa, throwing for over 350 yards.

The Chiefs have opened as the -13.5 home favorite against the spread versus the Broncos.
The total for Broncos-Chiefs opened at 48.5 and has been quickly bet up to 50.5. As of Monday morning, 60% of public money is heading towards the over for this game.
The Chiefs are one game behind the flawless Pittsburgh Steelers for the top seed in the AFC, so every game is vital in their hopes of obtaining a first-round bye.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that all Broncos’ COVID tests came back negative Monday morning, clearing the way for Drew Lock to return to the field, assuming he continues to test negative. Having Lock back under center would be a big boost for the Broncos, who scored just three points in Week 12 versus New Orleans.
That said, Lock has struggled against his childhood team. Lock is winless in two career starts versus the Chiefs, owning a 53% completion percentage to pair with one touchdown compared to three interceptions.
The Broncos have failed to beat the Chiefs since 2015, and Kansas City has covered the spread in nine of the last 10 meetings.
Kansas City is a massive -816 favorite on the Moneyline as of Monday morning. The spread seems a bit high and will likely trickle down, assuming Lock is ready to play. If Lock is out for whatever reason, the Broncos will be totally screwed offensively, although Lock is on track to play.
Due to the uncertainty of the Broncos’ quarterback situation, the public is backing the Chiefs heavy ATS, with 86% of bets heading in their direction.
