Roughly a week ago, citizens of Colorado opted to vote in favor of Proposition DD, which will legalize sports gambling in the Centennial State come springtime.

Colorado became the 19th state to join the sports betting party since the U.S. Supreme Court lifted the federal ban. Lawmakers in the state of Colorado were looking to legalize sports betting for quite some time, but the language in the state Constitution forced the decision to be left up to a state-wide vote.

The sports betting industry has taken off nationwide since New Jersey joined Nevada as states to offer legal sports gaming. With Proposition DD now passed, the state of Colorado will prepare for the legalization of sports betting, which could begin as soon as May 2020.

Legalized sports betting in Colorado will bring an entirely new wave of sports junkies to Denver Sports Betting, and DSB has the knowledge and resources to help a new generation of sports bettors get started.

Following the vote to legalize sports betting in Colorado, Denver Sports Betting owner and founder, Ryan Garcia, discussed the impact sports gambling will have on Colorado on SB Nation Radio's Pushing The Odds with Matt Perrault. Additionally, Garcia paints a picture of what the future holds for Denver Sports Betting.
